Suite à la demande conjointe du Syndicat du Personnel de l'UIT et de l'AMFIE auprès de l'administration de l'UIT en mars 2021 il est maintenant possible en Mars 2022 d'effectuer des retenues sur salaire à destination de l'AMFIE.
Le Syndicat du personnel de l'UIT et l'AMFIE vous informent ainsi qu'il est possible de créditer son compte à l'AMFIE par déduction salariale. Ceci a été mis en place pour le personnel du siège de l'UIT (en CHF) et des bureaux extérieurs de l'UIT (en USD).
Cette fonctionnalité commencera avec la paie de mars 2022
ITU Staff Unıon and AMFIE inform that salary deduction have been put in place for Staff at ITU Headquarters (CHF) and ITU field offices (USD). The feature will start with March 2022 payroll.

The ITU Staff Union Committee is pleased to inform you that it has signed a partnership agreement with AMFIE on March 22, 2022. Agreement which will allow the ITU Staff Union to promote AMFIE among its members and more broadly among ITU staff and the ITU administration. It will transmit to its members relevant information provided by AMFIE and inform it, directly or via its coordinators, of the recurring needs that they express.

Don’t hand our UN pension fund to Wall Street
Please sign this petition to oppose outsourcing our UN pension fund to Wall Street.
Dear Colleagues,
We are deeply worried about plans by our UN pension fund to outsource its investment management, starting with the fixed-income portfolio.
The Secretary-General is proceeding with the outsourcing despite strong concerns expressed by the pension board, despite a letter of protest written by our staff union federation CCISUA and despite staff concerns raised at a recent CCISUA-organized townhall.
In 2007, one year before the global financial crisis and the collapse of many financial institutions, Kofi Annan considered outsourcing to Wall Street. He wisely changed course following staff protests and kept our fund safe.
By handing our pension fund to Wall Street in these financially turbulent times, it risks becoming the victim of a short-term, greed-is-good bonus culture that has little regard for the welfare of our staff and retirees around the world and little regard for the ethical values of the UN.

Nous sommes profondément préoccupés par le projet de la Caisse des pensions des Nations Unies d'externaliser la gestion de ses investissements, en commençant par le portefeuille à revenu fixe.
Le Secrétaire général poursuit cette externalisation en dépit des vives inquiétudes exprimées par le Comité mixte de la Caisse des pensions, malgré une lettre de protestation de la CCISUA (notre fédération syndicale) et malgré les inquiétudes du personnel exprimées lors d'une récente réunion générale organisée par la CCISUA.
En 2007, un an avant la crise financière mondiale et l'effondrement de nombreuses institutions financières, Kofi Annan avait envisagé d’externaliser vers Wall Street. Il a sagement changé de cap à la suite des protestations du personnel et préservé la sécurité de notre Caisse.
Si l’on confie notre Caisse des pensions à Wall Street en cette période de turbulences financières, elle risque d’être victime d'une culture du bénéfice à court terme et de l'appât du gain très éloignée des valeurs de l'ONU, et qui fait bien peu de cas du bien-être des fonctionnaires et des retraités de l'Organisation.

Pension fund global online townhall on how the UN Joint Staff Pension Fund invests your money.
Dear Colleagues,
Many of you have been in touch with us with questions on how the UN Joint Staff Pension Fund invests your money, including in terms of financial sustainability, external management and its adherence with environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
To this end, the CCISUA federation, to which yoir union belongs, is organizing a global online townhall on this issue.

Retour sur la réunion de "mi-term du CCISUA.
Chers membres,
La réunion de mi-parcours du CCISUA ( Comité de coordination des associations et syndicats internationaux du personnel du système des Nations Unies, qui est la fédération mondiale des syndicats du personnel à laquelle votre syndicat appartient ) a eu lieu du 16 au 18 novembre à New York.
Il s'agissait de la première réunion syndicale en présentiel depuis 2019 (ainsi qu'en distenciel via Teams). Elle a permis de discuter et de construire des positions communes sur un certain nombre de questions. Parmi les principaux sujets discutés figuraient les contrats agiles, les défis auxquels fait face la Caisse des pensions en matière d’investissements et de service à la clientèle, l'ajustement de poste, la santé mentale, la révision salariale pour les agents des services généraux, la réforme du congé parental, la sécurité du personnel, les questions relatives à la Covid-19, ainsi que la question de la diversité. Cela fut l’occasion pour les syndicat affiliés à la CCISUA de rencontrer un nombre de hauts fonctionnaires de l'ONU et de la Commission de la fonction publique internationale.
En parallèle, la Présidente de la CCISUA a fait une déclaration devant l'Assemblée générale.
Nous continuerons à vous tenir au courant de tout nouveau développement, y compris du résultat des délibérations de l'Assemblée générale.

Survey on the Compensation Package - How have the changes to the compensation package impacted you ?
Dear Colleagues,
You may recall that the compensation package for the United Nations Common System was modified in 2016 following a comprehensive review conducted by the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC) in 2013. The changes covered a wide range of entitlements that have impacted you as well as your dependents.
CCISUA, which is the federation to which ITU Staff Union belongs, has decided along with the other two staff federations to conduct a Pulse Check Survey in order to better represent staff views during the upcoming ICSC session that that will look into a comprehensive assessment of the compensation package.

The UN System organizations are considering new contractual modalities for staff. In order to provide solid data to inform these discussions, we are cooperating with CCISUA (our parent staff federation) and are undertaking this survey of UN colleagues who are represented by CCISUA, to determine which contract terms you believe to be desirable or find acceptable, for the future of work in the United Nations, meeting your needs and expectations.
Providing your views will give you an additional opportunity to have your voice heard and empower us and CCISUA, to promote and advocate for your needs with senior management, through the appropriate consultation channels, based on solid data, to underline the positions we take.
All data will be anonymized and released in aggregated form only. If you have any questions or feedback, please reach out to your staff representatives for any assistance you may need.

UN Secretary-General is organizing the CEB review of the UN internal justice system as requested by the UNGA following the ILOAT pay cut decision.
Our federation note the following :
Recommendations for the GA to provide further guidance for any (or no) subsequent steps. The options that are currently at the table and will most likely be contained in the draft report are:
1 - Radical transformation of the justice system with only 1 tribunal and 1 appeals level,
2 - Establishment of a joint chamber for ICSC related, diverging judgements, governing the UNAT and ILO-AT
3 - Encouragement for more interaction between the judges to ensure the judgements are consistent
Option 2 sounds as the most sensible one but a concern was raised about the additional overhead and potential delay in rendering judgements through the introduction of yet another body.
CCISUA will consolidate Unions comments in a wiki concerning the draft of the Report on the review of the jurisdictional setup of the common system, undertaken pursuant to General Assembly resolution 74/255. The draft Report was prepared jointly with the ILO.
